Service Description: Groundwater Management Zones or "GMZs" delineate areas where the potential for degraded groundwater quality exists. Some GMZs place formal restrictions on well installations and groundwater usage. The GMZ coverage dates back to the 1990s, but it is periodically updated; therefore, the "publication date" corresponds with the date that the GMZ metadata was last updated.
